Russian Tourism Agency Information dated 31.01.2013
Russian Tourism Agency informs that possibility to receive the service “Informing of tour operators, travel agents and tourists about safety threat in the country (place) of temporary stay” is available on the Unitary Portal of state services (www.gosusligi.ru) in the electronic form.
Information on existence of tourists’ safety threat is provided by Russian Tourism Agency on the basis of data obtained from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russian Consumer Surveillance, Russian Hydro Meteorology, etc.
It is informed that only users registered on the Portal of State Services at the moment of inquiry can use the service.
In the frame of this service provided on the Portal of State Services to individuals (citizens of RF and individual entrepreneurs) additional option – passing of the voluntary tourists’ registration will be available.
This procedure supposes filling of the questionnaire containing data on travel including planned route, contact information of the tourist and other persons (relatives, friends or co-workers) for emergent communication. Questionnaire allows consider various groups of users from tourists preferring beach rest to professional athletes making difficult campaigns.
For tourists making sports campaigns (including amateur) within Questionnaire the additional blocks allowing to specify data on a planned sports campaign are provided: information on a route of the increased danger, ways of movement, means and ways of communication, registration existence in the Ministry of Emergency Situations or the Route and Qualification Commission, etc.
Introduction of an option of the voluntary registration is urged to promote safety of tourists both on the territory of the Russian Federation and abroad. At emergence of cataclysms of socio-political or natural character, and also in other unforeseen circumstances Russian Tourism Agency will promptly transfer information about registered tourists to competent authorities to develop and implement measures for elimination of threats to the vital interests of tourists.
